![]() Scholarships Te Pou Ora o Te Piringatahi I Te Rau Puawai Partnership Scholarships 2009 In 2008, six Northland Primary Health Organisations were offered an opportunity by Te Rau Puawai, to extend workforce development options for Maori who may have a desire in mental health and addictions (in primary health care). Each year the Te Rau Puawai Workforce programme (which is based at Massey University) provides bursaries for Maori who are seeking to commence or complete a University qualification that will endorse their ability to work in Maori mental health. Since its establishment, Te Rau Puawai has contributed to over one hundred and eighty Te Rau Puawai bursary holders who have graduated with undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications.
